Access requirements

Before applying for the Master's degree in Finance, please make sure you meet the following entry requirements:

Students graduated abroad should hold a 3-year university diploma (Bachelor of Science degree), in which they acquired the following number of ECTS (in case of students outside the European Union, the equivalent number of hours of study) in these areas:

  • at least 6 ECTS in  economics subjects;
  • at least 6 ECTS in  mathematics and statistics;
  • at least 3 ECTS in computer science.

PLEASE NOTE: a vocational title (such as a bachelor of Business Administration/Commerce from India and bachelor of Business Administration Pakistan or Bangladesh) is unsuitable for accessing an Italian Master Degree due to a substantial difference according to the Lisbon Convention.

Otherwise, you have a Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Mathematics / Physics / Statistics degree. In particular we accept the following Bachelor’s degrees obtained in Italy:

  • CLASSE L08 Lauree in Ingegneria dell’Informazione;
  • CLASSE L09 Lauree in Ingegneria Industriale;
  • CLASSE L30 Lauree in Scienze e Tecnologie Fisiche;
  • CLASSE L31 Lauree in Scienze e Tecnologie Informatiche;
  • CLASSE L35 Lauree in Scienze Matematiche;
  • CLASSE L41 Lauree in Statistica.

Students  holding a Bachelor different from Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Mathematics / Physics / Statistics, should provide evidence that in their 3-year diploma (Bachelor in Science and Italian bachelor's degree) they have acquired the following number of ECTS (in case of students outside the European Union, the equivalent number of hours of study) in these areas:

Computer science

 

ING-INF/05 or in INF/01. Alternatively: a certification  attesting the knowledge equivalent to or greater than the possession of the so-called computer license (ECDL Core Start or Full, Syllabus 5.0) for at least four modules.

Students should provide an international certification attesting a knowledge equal or higher than the B2 level of the Common European Framework (First Certificate in English). Otherwise, 6 ECTS in the English language are required (with a margin of tolerance up to 3 ECTS), corresponding at least to the  B2 level.
